2.Short bones : Carpals and tarsals.
3.Flat bones : Skull bones,scapula, ribs.
4.Irregular bones:Hip bone,vertebrae,base of
the skull.
5.Pneumatic bones : Maxillae,Spheno
id,Ethmoid.
6.Sesamoid bones : Patella,pisiform.
B.According to structure —
1.Compact or dense : The shaft of a long bone is
chiefly compact bones.
C.According to development —
1.Intra cartelagenous:all typical long bones.
2.Intra membranous : Clavicle,flat bones.
D.Regionay—
1.Axial : skull,ribs,sternum & vertebrae.
2.Appendicilar: bones forming the skeleton or
limbs.
E.According to site of origin—
1.Somatic: bones of limbs & trunk.
2.Visceral : mandible,hyoid bone.
