Definition::: Hospital infection means in infection occurring in a patient,which is acquired at a hospital or other healthcare facility,that were not present at the time to admission,
They occur in 5-15%of pt admitted to hospital.

i)Maintenance of sterilization and disinfection procedures
ii)Adoption of effective aseptic techniques
iii)Rational use of antibiotics

v)Ensuring an effective administrative set up
vi)Correct hospital designing for proper spacing of patients
