1.Odour ; if offensive indicates infection
2.Amount ;
Scanty : Infection ,lochiometra ,premature labour
Excessive ; infection ,twin pregnancies
3.Colour ; Persistence of red colour beyond the normal limit signifies sub involution ,retained bits of conceptus
4.Duration : During of lochia alba beyond 3 weeks suggests local genital
