DEFINITION: It is defined as bleeding from or into the genital tract after the 28th week of pregnancy
but before the birth of the baby 
Causes of APH

 A.Placental bleeding 
1.Placenta praevia
2. Abruptio Placenta 

 B.Extra placental cause:
1.Cervical polyp
2.Carcinoma of cervix 
3.Local truma 
4.varicose vein 

 C.Unexplained or idiopathic
